Shady Gaga Strikes Again

The serial plagiarist called pop rival Katy Perry out on Twitter for using a green wig and a mechanical horse for The Prismatic World Tour.

The infamous attempt to gain traction for her "leaked" single Applause (the "Pop Emergency") wasn't enough to make it a number one hit. It couldn't compete with Roar. Is this more of the same thing? Is Gaga scared that her tour can't compete with Katy's?

Judging by the number of tickets STILL available for Gaga's show in Pittsburgh tonight, she is!

Hey Gaga! Whatever happened to this?

Or this?

Or this?

Or this?

Gaga, why don't you take your own advice and......

Billboard Lies About Gaga Concert Numbers

Gaga played last night to a very full (but not sold out) crowd at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Pictures and videos of the show made the rounds on Twitter, and we could see some empty seats in the crowd. Of course we already knew the show wasn't sold out, because Ticketmaster was still selling tickets for as long as they could.

I don't know exactly how many tickets were sold (if someone has a good resource and number, send it on over), but estimates are that she sold around 13,000/14,000 (90%).

So at the VERY MOST, she could sell 14,000 tickets (but, again, didn't).

Yet Billboard is reporting that she played to over 15,000 people.

Are they including the staff at Philips Arena in that number, or what?

Concert capacity at Philips Arena is 17,700, by the way.

Also, no surprises here but Gagadaily is trying to push a fake "sold out" story.

Sold Out Show Like Lady Gaga?

Lady Gaga's second stop on the artRAVE tour is tonight in Atlanta, Georgia.

Unfortunately for her, the show didn't sell out.

Even minutes leading up to the show you could still "Find Tickets" for the Philips Arena.

If the show was sold out, or nearly sold out, there would have been a notice like this:

I don't know exactly how many tickets were left unsold, but here's the seating map for the tickets still available for Thursday's Pittsburgh show.

Gagadaily is reporting the numbers:
MAY 06 - ATLANTA - Philips Arena - GA SOLD OUT - 12,349/14,000 (87%)
MAY 08 - PITTSBURGH - Consol Energy Center - GA SOLD OUT - 12,161/13,500 (90%)

But looking at the map above, that sure doesn't look like 90% of tickets sold. And you can clearly see the GA isn't sold out.

So what do you guys think? Are the numbers fudged? Are we going to be seeing empty sections of the Philips Arena tonight?

Update: Little Monsters everywhere are determined to let the world know that their "fave" can "slay". They're tweeting like mad about the "sold out" show and including pics like this one:

Click on the photo for a closeup.

I went ahead and circled the areas with the most empty seats. If you look between the circles you can see a lot more.

Now why someone would send this picture out into the world with the caption "sold out show", when there's clearly a good 1/5 of the seats still empty? Do they think we can't see the empty spaces?

Lip Sync, artRAVE Edition

Remember when Gaga said...

“I never lip sync, I never have lip synced and I never will. And as long as you’re paying money to buy a ticket to see my show, I’m not gonna waste your God damn time watching some bitch lip sync her way through an HBO special.”

Or...

"You think I'm gonna ask these sweet 14-year-olds to beg their parents to pay $115 or whatever and then get up there and run around in latex and lip-sync? Forget it!"on Howard Stern in 2011?

Or how about...

"I am not going to saunter around the stage doing pelvic thrusts and lip-syncing. That's not what I'm about."

True to Gaga tradition, here she is lip syncing at the artRAVE.

Notice at 1:09 when she sings "I can be - toniiiiiight!" she pulls her face away from the mic briefly, and for that split second we hear her voice going quieter (as it does when you move away from a mic). Then at 1:11 she pulls her body about a foot away from the mic and the sound doesn't change at all - not the volume, not the vibrato - nothing in her voice changes as she moves away from the mic. And is it just me, or does it look like she doesn't quite know how long the note's supposed to be? It looks like she's just waiting for it to end.

The best part may be at 1:50 when she lifts her hands up and somehow the piano chords keep playing.

Or is it at 1:55 when she's thanking the audience over the backing vocals and right into the vocals she's supposed to be singing?

Or maybe it's at 3:10 when the guitar player in the background (on the left) is looking at the guitar and appears to be changing chords by moving his hands up and down the neck of it, but not strumming because his other hand on on the laptop?

There are so many magical (literally) moments, it's hard to pick just one!

What was your favourite moment of the Gypsy performance?

A Break.....

Hi everyone

It's been a while since I posted on the blog and I've decided to take a break.  The truth is that my heart is not in it anymore.  I'm going through a serious emotional time right now.  I guess you can say it's a crisis of some sort.  I think it's mainly positive but I'm not sure because there's a lot of negative chatter in my head that I'm trying to work through.  It's positive because I'm motivated to bring more positivity and love in my life.  So when I'm not working, I mostly focus on that.  The blog and the content of it is for the most part, negative.  I'm trying very hard to remove any negativity in my life.  For so long I've lived as a cynic and bitter person; and apparently your thoughts bring into your life what you think.

I'm not sure what else to say.  My emotions are up and down like a roller coaster and I'm so exhausted.  I don't want to let any of you down but I really need to take some time for myself. Maybe I'll start posting on the blog again or maybe not.  I'm just not sure right now.

I just hope I have your support while I work through this and your friendship; because I need that.

That's all.
