Seriously Rihanna?

Ok, I know this is a Gaga blog but I came across this online and I'm really disgusted. Rihanna was spotted leaving a restaurant in Santa Monica wearing a necklace that reads "cunt".  Now, why would you do that Rihanna?  Have you no self respect?  After being the victim of violence at the hands of a man, she goes and puts this vile word around her neck.  Grow up Rihanna and be lady, if that is even possible for you and your poppy types.

I have about zero tolerance for these dumb little pop stars...or pop tarts is more like it.  I really wish one of them, any of them, would give us a really good reason to respect them.  I really can't stand any of them.  They have no substance, no personality and mediocre talent churning out pop drivel with asinine lyrics and what really gets me is people buy this crap up!  I guess that says a lot about the mindset of society today and what we find entertaining.  Don't even get me started on reality show douche bags like Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton.  I've never watched an episode and I never will.  I refuse to contribute to anything that helps to make these pathetic individuals famous.  Society should be ashamed of themselves for lining the pockets of these useless human beings with more money than they need.  They already were lucky enough to be born in to an affluent family.  Do we really need to make them richer and make them famous for doing absolutely nothing?  Oh wait, I take that back. They worked really hard on their sex tapes that put them on the map.

Rihanna, please do yourself a favor and toss this necklace in to a burning flame.  Respect yourself and respect womanhood and stop behaving like a douche bag.  Take some of that money you have and go buy yourself some class and while you're at it, invest in a therapist so you can build some self esteem because any adult woman with healthy self esteem would never in a million years wear this garbage around her neck.  This folks, is what young, impressionable girls are looking up to.

Gaga Releases One of Five "Fashion" Videos

If you haven't seen it already, you won't see on this site.  Gaga released her "Haus Of U featuring Nymph Fashion Video",  which is basically her dancing and posing for the camera to her song You and I, dressed as the nymph character in video of the same title.

I think Stefani looks lovely in the video.  It's nice to see her look like a human being for once but one has to ask, what is the purpose of this video?  And what the heck is a fashion video? She's only wearing one outfit.  It's more like a "Watch Me Dance on Camera Video Wearing Lingerie. Look At Me, Aren't I Amazing!" video.   Plus, there's four more coming.  My guess is each one will be of Stefani dressed as one of the charcters in the You and I video, that's pretty predictable. Ugh! Not another Jo Calderone appearance.

Anyway, back to the purpose of the video.  Is Stefani so desperate to have a second song off Born This Way reach number one that she has to release five, no, six (if you include the official one) You and I videos to push this song?  It's pretty obvious that's the deal here.  Gaga, the only people who will be moved by this video are little "still going through puberty" monsters and they already bought your album.  I know you packaged this as a gift...a surprise, for your monsters but those who can see past bullshit know the marketing ploy behind the videos. This is just another reason for a narcissist to revel in herself five more times while manipulating the public to buy her failing song.   To think that a part of her really thinks that filming herself on video, striking a pose (no pun intended) or ten is a gift to her fans.  How incredibly self serving and arrogant.  I wish someone would tell her that shoving yourself down the public's throat doesn't endear them to you.  What it actually does is turn them off, and it's happening in droves.  Here's a bullet Stefani, so you can shoot yourself in the other foot.

Lady Gaga Can't Take Criticism

Gaga in her Haute Coutour and NY Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn

Lady Gaga's super fragile ego has a hard time accepting the fact that not everyone loves her.  Stefani used her latest column for V magazine to take a swipe at New York Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn.  In one of Cathy's latest columns, she does her job, as a critic and comments on Stefani's outfit in the “Edge of Glory” video, Horyn wrote

"She looked embalmed in the black Versace harness (apparently from Gianni Versace’s final collection), and I don’t know why Donatella Versace said she was honored by Gaga’s selection, unless, of course, she thought she had to say something nice about the superstar. But a D.O.A. video doesn’t help the House of Versace. Be choosier, Ms. Versace."

Apparently to Stefani, if a fashion critic doesn't like her clothes, it means they are negative and cynical rather than original and having done their research.  Perhaps, Lady Gaga, could it simply mean they don't like the way you dress?  Could it even possibly mean that there is someone out there who hasn't fallen in love with you and isn't eating your bullshit by the shovel full?   Could it even, catch my breath, mean that not everything you do comes through the glittery gates of Pop Heaven, gracing society with your (lack of) originality and splendor? Stefani says in her column:

"In the age of the Internet, when collections and performances are so accessible to the public and anyone can post a review on Facebook or Twitter, shouldn’t columnists and reviewers, such as Cathy Horyn, employ a more modern and forward approach to criticism, one that separates them from the average individual at home on their laptop? The reality of today’s media is that there are no echelons, and if they’re not careful, the most astute and educated journalists can be reduced to gossipers.”

Oh, so that's it!  If you don't like Gaga or don't "get her" and you speak or write about it, that makes you a gossiper.   Of course!  Why can't Stefani simply accept that not everyone worships the ground she walks on?  I'll tell you why.  Because that fact is quite the challenge and virtually impossible for someone with a narcissistic personality disorder possibly combined with histrionic personality disorder to accept.  The depth of her narcissism never shone so clearly as it did at the VMA awards.  To dress as an alter ego so you can perform a monologue, probably written by you, to talk about yourself as a star is appalling. That is what Stefani did.

So the long-standing journalistic hierarchy is deemed “irrelevant” by Mama Monster because she knows everything and she knows best.  Stefani is the expert in fashion despite being a pop star for only three years, no background in fashion and who's fashion choices are a Kermit the Frog dress, filet mignon, gimp masks, 50 feet high heel boots and shoes and everything other pop stars have worn before.

Gaga also wrote of Horyn:

"It's so easy to say something is bad. It's so easy to write, 'One star, hated it, worst show of the season.' It's much more challenging to reckon with and analyze a work. It requires research, but maybe no one does their research anymore."

Well Gaga, I'll give that one to you.  Clearly you really do your research and you don't hold back on how deep you will dive to do it.  Your extensive research is crystal clear in your clothes, music, products and creates a, oh I don't know, sense of deja vu.

MTV 2011 VMAs: Lady Gaga, in drag, cannot stop mugging through Britney Spears tribute

By: Adam B. Vary at Entertainment Weekly - Entire article found here.

So, which is better (or worse)? Chris Gaines? Or Jo Calderone? Lady Gaga’s male alter ego took the the MTV VMA stage a second time to present the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award to Britney Spears, and for a man who opened the show complaining about the constant spotlight on Lady Gaga, he seemingly could not stop hogging it for himself.

After lauding Spears as “a pop music legend” who inspired him when he was a starving artist, Calderone offered this anecdote/over-share: “I used to hang posters of her on the wall and touch myself when I was in bed.” (Spears, for her part, found that hilarious.) Calderone then cued a well-choreographed-if-still-mildly-horrifying tribute performance by a gaggle of tween girls in Britney drag dancing to some of her biggest hits.

Did anyone else think that Stefani's opening monologue as Jo Calderone was the most self indulgent, narcissistic speech about herself ever?  It was the most awkward, cringe worthy performance I've seen.  Aside from delusional little monsters in the pit screaming, Gaga's peers looked completely dumbfounded and downright embarrassed for the copy cat.  A few quotes from "Jo Calderone" talking about Gaga (herself) (Ugh!  I can't believe I have to sit through watching this again just to get them):

"I think it's really fucking great that she's a star, a big beautiful star in the sky"

"Cause when she gets on that stage, she holds nothing back"
"That spotlight, that big, round, "something" spotlight follows her where ever she goes"

You just know that is exactly what she thinks of herself.

In fact, she is so narcissistic that even during Britney's tribute, Stefani had to make it about her and poke her nose right in there.  Let Britney have her moment Gaga!  Britney seemed to be completely uncomfortable being up there next to Stefani and not sure what to make if "it".  Britney even rejected Stefani's attempt at a kiss stating "I've already done that", in reference to her kiss with Madonna.  Perhaps Britney's way of saying "You ain't her wannabe".  Britney has been quoted saying “It was interesting, her character,” when asked about "Jo Calderone".  We all know that's just a polite way of saying "WTF???"

Even Time Magazine wasn't impressed with Stefani's embarrassing performance and monologue.

Gaga Copies Annie Lennox!

Annie Lennox at the '84 Grammy Awards and Lady Gaga taking from her routine in 2011 at the MTV VMA's.

I called it in my post titled "Gaga's "You and I" Single Cover" on August 6th!  I CALLED IT LITTLE MONSTERS!!!  I knew she was going to go to the VMA's dressed as a man.  Back in 1984, Annie Lennox went to the Grammy awards dressed as man and performing her hit "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) in drag, causing quite the stir.  Well, Gaga goes and does it again.  The Queen of Copy Cat just jacked off one of Annie's memorable performances.  Of course, so many youngsters will think Stefani is so original because the had yet to be born when Annie gave her performance.   Stefani must think we are so stupid and have forgotten just because 30 years have passed.  There is absolutely nothing original about Stefani. Everything she does is directly taken from artists pass and with her track record of theft, this one is hard to ignore.

Here's a video of Annie Lennox's performance from the Grammy award with her then band, The Eurythmics, dressed as a man.

Wait, there's more!  The LA Times isn't too impressed with Stefani's VMA performance either.  You can read the article right HERE!

My Thoughts For Today

Tonight is the MTV VMA's.  I won't be watching.  Why? I don't care one bit.  Why?  Because MTV hasn't been about music in a really freakin' long time.  MTV is all about reality shows and other programming but music sure as hell isn't one of it.  Being nominated or receiving an MTV Music Award Moon Man means nothing.  It's like taking home a surf board from the Teen Choice Awards.

Whether Katy Perry cleans up tonight or Stefani wins in that lame new category "Best Video with a Message" designed specifically for her, me thinks, it makes no difference.   If I had to pick anyone to win the "Best Video with a Message" category, I'm pulling for Rise Against for Make It Stop (September’s Children). The punk band addresses teen suicides in the LGBT community and stresses the message that life does get better.  Mainly just to stick it to Stefani who decided to appoint herself the spokesperson for the gay community thus perpetuating the stereotypes with her stupid clothes, hair and lyrics combined with her unintelligent speeches peppered with big words to make her sound smart (Don't be a drag, just be a queen).  Whew, that was a run on sentence!

With the exception of Adele, Cage The Elephant, Foo Fighters, Mumford & Sons, Beastie Boys, Beyonce (Ugh!) and Foster The People, the rest are disposable and riding on what probably is the last few years of their hype.  Do you want to know what real, raw, beautiful, poetic, lyrical magic, talent is?  Look below..........behold, your true talent.  Listen and learn.

What you just heard here are the workings of a human being with the gift of song writing.  One who's lyrics are deep, poetic and clever. One who's lyrics and symphony of sound feeds the soul.

"Don't Be A Drag, Just Be A Queen", "My Mama told me when I was young, we are all born superstars", "Boys, boys, boys, we like boys in cars, buy us drinks in bars", "I'm just a holy fool oh baby it's so cruel", is not song writing.  It's a ten year old writing down rhymes in a school notebook.
