Gaga Responds To Better Midler

Gaga has responded to Bette Midler's claim that she copied the mermaid in a wheelchair routine.

"(It was) not (a Midler tribute) in the beginning... because I didn't know that she'd done (it), but I do now and I think it's great. Obviously I feel connected to women in theatre and women from the past.

"Maybe we're just cut from the same cloth. I couldn't hop around in that tail so I just stuck myself in a wheelchair. All I'll say is that I... admire her and find her to be one of the most brilliant and incredible performers, so that's all I'll say."

Gaga clearly is being extremely patronizing.  If she is so connected to women in theater, she would be educated and would and should know about Bette's routine.

She also could have had a mermaid costume that had a cut out for her feet which would be hidden by the tail allowing her to walk upright in the costume.  There are just too many accusations and very similar styles in a lot of what Gaga does, for them to simply be shrugged off as a coincidence.  Or to claim ignorance as she does in regards to Better Midler.

Gaga is the perfect example of someone that the comment "trying to invent the wheel" would be appropriately directed to.  It's been done, and aside from blind flop monsters, everyone else is aware of it.

Better Midler's last tweet to Gaga was , let's drink this over at the Emmys in September. Fabulous mermaids can coexist!"

I hope that drink Better is referring to ends up in Gaga's face after she throws it at her.

Down Under, Adele Is Still On Top

Even with all the gimmicks, hype, manufactured persona, little monster Gaga feeding frenzy, surprise visits at Gay nightclubs on Oxford St., over the top sexual shows with her dancers feeling her up on stage, ridiculous costumes that just scream "Look at me!!", Gaga still cannot top Adele in Oz.

Gaga's 6 day visit Down Under to promote Born This Way did help her sales and it also helped boost Born This Way to the No. 2 spot on the ARIA charts (Australia's music chart).  It even helped shoot her single Edge of Glory to No. 6 from No. 22.  One has to ask though, why was it at No. 22.

That's easy.  It's called hypeI remember I went to see Alanis Morrisette once only because I had a friend working her tour and the tickets were free.  I was seated 2nd row from the stage, a damn good spot.  I should tell you I cannot stand Alanis' music but after the show, a small part of me kinda liked her.  I was feeding off the energy of her fans at the show and seeing her up close on stage.  After about 3-4 days, I went right back to not thinking of her at all.

Same thing here with Gaga.  Her visit created an energy that was infectious.  It spread, but like all viruses, it will go dormant once again.

Want proof?  Adele is still No. 1 Down Under.  Gaga's gimmicks and shenanigans still was not able to knock powerhouse Adele out of the No. 1 position.  Adele prefers the "less is more" approach.  She has been quoted "I think it's shameful when you sell out. It depends what kind of artist you wanna be but I don't want my name anywhere near another brand. I don't wanna be tainted or haunted," she said earlier this year.  Adele has also refused to allow her songs be attached to a product or advertising campaign.

Even though Gaga is embarking on a huge world tour in 2012 which includes stops in Australia; Aussie concert promoters keep Adele at the top of their list of artists they are dying to sign to tour Oz.

She's reportedly hesitant because of a fear of flying.

Bette Midler Not Impressed. Calls Gaga Out.

The Divine Miss M has spoken!  On Twitter.  She tweeted three tweets directed at Lady Xerox calling her out on the mermaid in a wheelchair routine.  Gaga clearly copy and pasted Bette's routine that she's been doing since the 80's.  This isn't the first time that Lady CrapGa has been accused of ripping off other artists and their routines.

While Bette's version is a more upbeat, happy mermaid, Gaga thinks she can get away with theft by making her mermaid a more dark, Gothic and somber mermaid with a more "Joan Crawford - Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?" vibe.  No dice CrapGa.

If her little flop monsters would just take their noses out of Gaga's ass for 5 min and do their research, they would see the evidence is undeniable.  However, I'm sure they will rationalize it to themselves.

I resized this screen shot so that flop monsters can get a good view of what Bette is saying.

To my readers, please share this, google+ this.  Let's get the word out.  I've googled "Bette Midler" and there are barely any stories about this.  Help me to make sure that Gaga's antics are seen for what they really are. Thank you deeply.

Gaga Copies Bette Midler's Mermaid In A Wheelchair Routine

Well, Gaga does it again.  In Australia, Gaga offended scores of disability groups by rolling herself on stage in a wheelchair dressed as a mermaid.  Aside from offending people, she also demonstrates, yet again, how unoriginal she is and how she rips off other artists.  "Delores Delago" is the name of a character that Bette Midler created as an on stage act.

Milder recently resurrected her character during her long time running Vegas show "The Showgirl Must Go On".  The show debuted on February 20, 2008 and played its final performance on January 31, 2010 after a two year run and surprise, surprise, here is Gaga once again jacking off an act that's been done.

Doesn't Gaga read or hear about the stuff being said about her?  Not just from my blog but all over?  You would think she'd tread lightly.  This girl has so much nerve.  Keep it up human photocopying machine.  It's all down hill from here.

Just like we have internet trolls, Gaga is a music industry troll.  Like I asked before, how do you like your eggs Gaga?

Move Over Gaga, Facebook Has A New Queen

Facebook has a new queen: According to famecount.com, a social media statistics service, Rihanna passed Lady Gaga in total fans sometime around 12 P.M. EST on Thursday, July 14th.

With roughly 40,516,728 fans as of this writing, Rihanna's new accolade brings her one placement closer to the Facebook fan champ, hip-hop artist Eminem, whose page has been 'liked' an impressive 43,225,888 times. For some perspective, Rihanna had just over 5,000 Facebook fans one year ago.
She's come this far, will Rihanna make it all the way to the top? Apparently, not without a fight. In response to the news, Lady Gaga fans took to the Twittersphere, demanding that people, "unlike Rihanna on Facebook".

My own two cents:  Looks like Gaga taught her monsters well!  They're learning to cheat and using trickery to keep her on top.

Born This Way Sales Sink Even Further

Would you like your eggs scrambled or sunny side up?  How about fried?

HollywoodNews.com: Reports of revived CD sales are highly exaggerated. According to the numbers collected on hitsdailydouble.com, last week is pretty bad for the music industry. Summer used to be a time when kids had to have their music. But last week the top 10 totaled less than 500,000 copies sold of anything. Lady Gaga‘s “Born this Way” was down to 30,000 units. That’s not enough to pay for anyone to carry her rapidly cracking egg.

The number 1 CD, Beyonce‘s “4,” made the grade with a mere 111,000 copies. The only bright spot was Adele, as usual, clocking in at number 2 with 79,000. I’m not sure if anyone’s explained this to her, but Adele is the record business right now. Other than Adele, who’s also selling copies of her “19″ album (yes everyone’s just numbering their CDs for titles–this generation can’t remember titles like “The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys” or “Songs in the Key of Life”– the next hit album will be called LOL) everyone else is at a standstill. Both new generation “American Idol” (Scotty McCreery) and old (David Cook) are just about tied with 13,000 copies each.

To his credit, Barry Manilow sold 10,230 copies of a CD full of original material on a small label and finished at number 36. The next big release, fingers crossed, will be country singer Blake Shelton this week. But other than that, it’s not such a promising release schedule.
