Here's the thing. A gift is something YOU buy for someone, not for them to buy off of you. So if Lady Gaga wants to give a nice gift to her fans, GIVE IT TO THEM......FOR FREE. Of course it's about the money and it's so self indulgent for her to think that her thoughts and feelings are so amazing that she has to put them in a book and publish them....and sell it.
