Lady Gaga Represents Pop Culture Depravity

Article by Lisa McDonald from The Examiner

Chicago’s Peter Buchanan always has a lot to say about Lady Gaga, and most of it isn’t very pleasant. At first, I was neither here nor there on Lady Gaga, but when I saw her Chicago show at the United Center last spring, I was deeply offended.

It is important to note that I didn’t buy the tickets; I was given press tickets by Interscope Records. It wasn’t the worst show I have ever seen—that honor goes to Mariah Carey, who dog whistled her way throughout an entire show. However, Lady Gaga doesn’t have much talent either.

I would give credit to Lady Gaga for playing the piano, except that there were many piano notes heard without seeing Lady Gaga press the piano keys. I would give credit to her singing abilities, but most of the show was badly lip-synched.

However, there was a problem that was even worse; Lady Gaga basically told her audience that the only way a star could get attention is to take off their clothes. The stripper act would be okay had it conveyed any sense of meaning, but Lady Gaga apparently isn’t intelligent enough for that.

This past four months, Lady Gaga’s name has been in the news, although not for positive reasons—her album flopping, her VMA performance flop, and her trying to outclone Madonna in every aspect possible.

Thankfully, Jesus has given us the wonderful gift of Adele. Now, teenage girls can look up to someone who actually has talent. Within a few years, Lady Gaga will be nothing but a forgotten footnote in pop culture history.
