David Bailey On Lady Gaga: 'If She Can Sing, Why Wear Funny Clothes?'

Plenty of people don't have the patience for Lady Gaga's sartorial antics (sometimes, even we just wish she'd throw on some sweatpants and get on with it). 

Add David Bailey to the list of Gaga detractors. Bailey, a famous British photographer with a carefree attitude and a dating history filled with models (he was married to Catherine Deneuve), spoke to the Telegraph about his thoughts on today's famous females, from the Duchess of Cambridge to Lady Gaga. 

Kate, he must admit, is "very beautiful." Gaga, on the other hand, is just a bit much. Bailey said he had to cancel a scheduled photo shoot recently because "there were too many rumours about her storming out and being silly. And I can't be bothered."

He added:

"If she can sing, why wear funny clothes? Ella Fitzgerald never wore funny clothes."

Bailey isn't the only famous photographer to admit he's less than enamored of his celebrity subjects. Patrick Demarchelier, one of fashion's top lensmen, said recently that he often doesn't recognize the names of those he photographs and prefers to take pics of his dog.

Luckily for us, Demarchelier and his colleagues begrudgingly snap our favorite celebs anyway. Because somebody needs to focus their camera on Gaga -- it would be a shame to let a giant egg, a meat dress, penis shoes and blood perfume go to waste.

This interview is going to be great but I doubt Madonna will answer the "What do you think about Lady Gaga"? question in definitive terms. She'll be vague about it and leave people still questioning how she really feels. I doubt she'll sing her praises but she won't be mean either. She might be snarky though.

Hypocrite, Fake, Ignorant or Just Plain Stupid?

Last night, Lady Gaga tweeted about the overtime victory touchdown bagged by Denver Bronco's Quarterback Tim Tebow. 

So says the "gay rights" supporter.  What do I mean?  During Super Bowl XLIV on CBS, Tebow appeared in a Superbowl ad for Evangelical, ultra conservative group Focus on the Family; a group which is adamantly against gay rights of any kind.  His support for this group raises the question about Tebow's own personal views on gay rights and the bullying young gay teens experience day after day.  When asked by a reporter what his stance is on gay rights, he was silenced by his publicist and to this day, Tebow will not address that question.  Tim Tebow is an outspoken, conservative Christian, the scary kind that form a whole political party in the U.S.A. and want to lead a country.  

Tebow's beliefs and what he stands for is everything that Stefani claims to be against but now, he is her champion.  Football or not, given how strongly Stefani feels about the gay community and their rights, she shouldn't be singing his praises in any capacity, of any kind.  Groups like Focus on the Family are part of the problem as she crusades against gay bullying.  So what is she?  A hypocrite, a lying fake, ignorant about the events surrounding the Tebow controversy or just plain stupid?

The Denver Bronco's flat out rejected a petition asking them to create a "It Gets Better" video.
