Plenty of people
don't have the patience for Lady Gaga's sartorial antics (sometimes,
even we just wish she'd throw on some sweatpants and get on with it).
Add David Bailey
to the list of Gaga detractors. Bailey, a famous British photographer
with a carefree attitude and a dating history filled with models (he was
married to Catherine Deneuve), spoke to the Telegraph about his thoughts on today's famous females, from the Duchess of Cambridge to Lady Gaga.
Kate, he must admit, is "very beautiful." Gaga, on the other hand, is
just a bit much. Bailey said he had to cancel a scheduled photo shoot
recently because "there were too many rumours about her storming out and
being silly. And I can't be bothered."
He added:
"If she can sing, why wear funny clothes? Ella Fitzgerald never wore funny clothes."
Bailey isn't the only famous photographer to admit he's less than
enamored of his celebrity subjects. Patrick Demarchelier, one of
fashion's top lensmen, said recently that he often doesn't recognize the names of those he photographs and prefers to take pics of his dog.
Luckily for us, Demarchelier and his colleagues begrudgingly snap our
favorite celebs anyway. Because somebody needs to focus their camera on
Gaga -- it would be a shame to let a giant egg, a meat dress, penis shoes and blood perfume go to waste.
