Self absorbed Gaga song drops on iTunes

Aside from Little Monsters, most people gawk at a celebrity that sings their own praises in a song. Gaga's favourite subject is Lady Gaga and now we all have to pay the price for it by listening to her trite nonsense on the radio.  Thankfully there's the "off" button.  With lyrics like the ones below, is it any wonder that conceit, self absorption, narcissism and an overly inflated ego is a guaranteed eye roller?

If only fame had an IV, baby could I bear
Being away from you, I found the vein, put it in here

[Chorus:]
I live for the applause, applause, applause
Live for the way that you cheer and scream for me
Give me that thing that I love (turn the lights on)
Put your hands up, make 'em touch, touch (make it real loud)

Or my personal fave right here:  Pop culture was in art, now art's in pop culture in me.

I second what Larry Womack from the Huff Post Gay so eloquently said:

Amazing how Gaga thinks she's so much more ground breaking and monumental than The Beatles. Honey, you give yourself way too much credit.  What you think you're doing is nothing new.  Not even with your "reverse Warholian" spin.  Get some Preparation-H and apply it to your head because it's about to explode into a giant mess of glittery, narcissistic shit.

Lady Gaga was right about one thing.  Karma does have everyone's address and a mother fucking stamp.  The envelope has her address written on it for some time and the stamp was eagerly waiting to be licked. The stamp is a happy stamp now and is karma is en route.   The unlikable pop star's latest song Applause, is now in 2nd, 3rd place or 4th place (and dropping) on the iTunes chart in all major markets.

I'm not sure how important iTunes are as far as charts go.  I'm much more curious to see Billboard. At this stage, I think it's safe to say that no one wants to hear a song about how fucking great you think you are; and how you get off at the cheers and screaming of fans.  Her obsession with fame is so lame, just like her; and unbelievably boring.  It only makes her come off like more of an ass than she already is.  Speaking of ass.  Gaga, next time, get rid of your rash before you decide to wear something like this again.  It's not becoming.
