What will Lady Gaga do about Azealia Banks?

There's a rumor going around that Lady Gaga is collaborating with Beyonce and Azealia Banks on a single for ARTPOP called Ratchet.  In September, Azealia Banks confirmed that they are definitely working on a song together but stopped short of saying which one or if it will even make the album.  “I worked on a song for her,” Banks told Capital FM. “I don’t know if it will make her record. I hope it will…but we’ll wait and see.”

In the recent few days, the ever classy Miss Banks engaged celebrity blogger Perez Hilton in yet another Twitter feud, something Banks has acquired a reputation for doing.  So what happened?  She called him a "faggot" and Perez, being an openly gay man, didn't take to kindly to it.

It didn't end there though.  Banks went on to make lewd comments about the size of Perez's sphincter which is as clear as night and day that she's making fun of him being gay.

Ms. Banks also claims to be bisexual.  Sure.  Right.  Several rude tweets were made during this epic Twitter feud which you can read about on Paws Down.

So what does this feud have to do with Stefani?  Stefani has crowned herself as being queen of the gays; the champion for gay rights and the Messiah to the gay cause world wide.  Her delusional fans credit her for getting rid of DADT when in truth, DADT was already on it's way out and Stefani jumped on the band wagon at the 11th hour.

Stefani's placed herself in this role and even started a foundation to battle bullying against gay kids, among other issues.  Considering that, she should be appalled and offended at Ms. Bank's comments to Perez, even though she and Perez are no longer friends.  Not because it's Perez but because he is gay.  When Ms. Banks chose to insult Perez's sexual orientation on Twitter, she insulted all gay men.

So what will the all compassionate, honorable and ethical Ms. Gaga do?  Well, the right thing to do is to refuse to work with Azealia because your convictions should matter more than your so called "creative process" and a single that could make money.   In all fairness, the single has likely already been recorded so the job is done.

What to do then?  Simple.  Toss the track.  She's written 50 songs for ARTPOP so it's not like she can't replace it.  Put the big, bright, red cross right through it as a protest against what Azealia said and did.  After all, Stefani is the Rocky of gay rights and this should matter to her.  The question is, when faced with the moral dilemma of doing what's right or doing what's profitable, will it matter?

What do you think?  Will Gaga's convictions matter more than a single?
