What happened in Aurora was just horrific and tragic. However the media and Piers Morgan should really shut their mouth before condemning Madonna for using prop guns during her show. She was using prop guns before the shootings in Aurora happened. It's part of her show. The same way guns are part of Lady Gaga's show. Is the media coming down on Gaga? Are they coming down on every single shoot em up bang bang movie ever made or being made right now? No. But let's single out Madonna for being an insensitive bitch for using prop guns.
Guns in film, music videos, tours, etc., didn't stop after Columbine and won't stop after Aurora. However that is not the problem. What I would like to know is why so many in America, especially Republicans and right wing nut jobs like the tea baggers, think it's ok for the average civilian to carry machine guns and other types of ammunition designed to cause damage on a massive scale? Because it's "constitutional"? Because if you aren't allowed, then you're "un-American"? Whatever the fuck that means. It's one thing to keep a pistol in your home to protect yourself from a home invasion. But a machine gun?

In one year, people wielding guns murdered 35 in Australia, 39 in England and Wales, 194 in Germany, 200 in Canada, and 9,484 in the United States. Doesn't that say something? Shouldn't it? But then again, all the countries mentioned except for the good ol'USA are nothing but a bunch of commie socialists that don't value freedom. God bless America!!!
Let's stop blaming pop stars and focus on the real issues. Focus people, focus. Let's not lose sight of the real problem.
