Born This Way Sales Continue to Fall

Lady Gaga’s “Edge of Glory” single has finally made it into the Chicago Top 20, but there is more bad news for her on the national album charts. Hits Daily Double predicts a 35 percent plunge this week, which would put the “album of the decade” far behind Adele, Bad Meets Evil, and Adele.

Perez Hilton, Gaga friend and sycophant, posted an entry on his celebrity gossip site that Gaga states on her facebook page that Born This Way has sold almost 5 million copies worldwide.

I don't know how good Gaga's math skills are but if she gets out her calculator and adds up the numbers, it's more like 854,484.

In the fourth week of release for “Born this Way,” her latest release sold a mere 68,935 copies. That brings her to a total of 1,254,484–less, of course, the 440,000 copies that amazon gave away for 99 cents. If those are removed, the total is 854,484. That’s a lot of CDs, of course, no matter what the parameters. But with the amazon deal and no real second breakout single, “Born this Way” is quickly vanishing. This week it fell to number 4
