Ha Ha!

Caca Jumps Over The Moon

OK, this is really immature of me but who cares.  I came across this picture on some site that I can't remember so I had to find it somewhere else.  The person who wrote about this on the other site calls this outfit the "Caca Jumps Over The Moon" dress.  I swear, it had me in tears.  Really.  As soon as I find the site, I'll link it here.

Found it!  It was on dListed.

Is Gaga Losing Her Swagger?

Written by adwenger on Jul-19-11 10:11pm

In a February 60 Minutes interview, Lady Gaga told CNN's Anderson Cooper that everyone "wants to see [her] fail." By May, Forbes had listed the pop sensation as the most powerful celebrity in the world. Yet after losing her title as the most "liked" living artist on Facebook and seeing a decrease in sales of her Born This Way album, has this self-proclaimed fame artist indirectly foretold her own fate?

Album Sales: The first noticeable chink in her armor coincided with the release of Gaga's much hyped second studio album, Born This Way, released on May 23. Despite selling an impressive 1.1 million copies in its first week, the album failed to find sustained growth. In just its second week, sales had sunk a staggering 85 percent.

To better put that number in perspective, let's take a look at another hugely successful pop star that's had no problem selling millions of records without having to wear a lobster on her head. The artist: Adele.

The British singer's sophomore album, 21, sold 352,000 copies in its first week, back on February 22. Nearly five months later, its sales remain incredibly strong -- the album sold 121,000 units this past week, which was good enough for it to reach the No. 2 spot.

In comparison, Born This Way has already slipped to No. 8 in just seven weeks. This places Gaga's album exactly three spots lower than Hell: The Sequel, which as it turns out is not a slasher film, but actually the latest Eminem project.

Still, selling 1.1 million copies in one week is a feat in and of itself, right? Well... it is and it isn't. Born This Way was initially released on Amazon.com for the low low price of 99 cents. Anyone who has ever casually strolled through a Dollar Store can tell you how instantly attractive k.d. lang's Christmas album or some lead based candy becomes when priced at 99 cents.

In other words, Gaga offering her album for pennies is akin to all the movie theaters in America showing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 for a buck -- which for the record, didn't happen. But just imagine the chaos if it had! Needless to say, many in the industry felt Gaga's first week sales didn't paint an accurate picture.

Cash Flow
: If we're to believe what she said this past week on the Howard Stern Show, Gaga doesn't "give a f--- about money." But when you consider that Forbes estimated her 2010 earnings to be $90 million -- or more than enough to buy one hell of a hat collection -- it's hard to believe she doesn't have some sense or appreciation of her fortune.

Then again, it was barely two months ago that the singer admitted her 18-month-long Monster's Ball tour left her completely bankrupt. She's since recovered financially, but if Gaga doesn't better watch her cash flow, she could end up back in the $1,100 a month NYC apartment she used to call home.

Fan Base: Gaga's "Little Monsters" are as dedicated and passionate as the most fervent Twihard, Gleek or Biebaholic you'll ever meet. In fact, they're so loyal that they helped catapult Gaga up the Twitter food chain, making her the first person in the world to reach 10 million followers.

And while the pop star still holds that crown, her Facebook status isn't as commanding. In February, Eminem overtook Gaga as the most "liked" living artist on the social network. Then, last week, her popularity took another hit, as Rihanna became the most "liked" woman on the site.

With all these numbers, it's important to keep them in perspective. What we perceive to be a decline in Gaga's fame and success is all relative when you consider the possibility that other artists are just growing in popularity faster. Still, when you're having eggs thrown at you, it becomes easier for skeptics to see your fame as nothing more than a fad

Madonna Says "No Comment" on Lady Gaga.....Sort Of

While in Venice promoting her film W.E. at the Venice Film Festival, Madonna was asked by Belgian newspaper Le Soir, what her thoughts are on Lady Gaga's perception (copying) of her.

In W.E., you're shooting the romance of Wallis Simpson through the eyes of a modern admiring young woman, Wally. We could see the perception your fans have about you. Even of Lady Gaga?

Madonna:
Of my fans? Say what interests me with the perception of Wally, is to arrive to break the truth about Wallis Simpson. And realize that nothing is all white or all black. True or False. Life is gray. And you can not put someone in a box. As for Lady Gaga, I have no comment on her obsessions related to me, because I do not know if it is based on something profound or superficial.

Ouch!!  Sounds like Madonna is trying to be diplomatic while simultaneously letting the world know she is aware of Stefani's theft and copying and it hasn't gone unnoticed and it's not welcome, not in the least.  How's that Stefani, coming from the woman you say you idolize?

We also heard that after the Born This Way/Express Yourself rip off fiasco, Stefani claimed that she received an email from Madonna's camp giving her full support.  We also know the truth, and the truth is Madonna and her publicist confirmed that no such email was sent.

On another note, Madonna made herself look ungrateful after the mic caught her say how she loathes hydrangeas after she was given the flowers at the press conference at the Venice Film Festival.

Before we all throw stones at Madonna for her remarks, let's keep in mind that this happened during the press conference and fans are not allowed in at press conferences.  This easily could have been a tabloid reporter who knows that Madonna only likes white Lillie's.  I even know that and I'm just a blogger who happens to be a fan.  She may have been set up to look bad.  Madonna's never been one to hold back and my guess is that she puts her foot in her mouth often.  Madonna's fans were waiting for her outside the press conference and she graciously signed autographs for them after the conference.  There is footage of this on YouTube

Madonna & Anthony Kiedis 'Lady is a Tramp' 1000th Arsenio Hall Show

Tony Bennett is set to release his duet with Lady Gaga "The Lady Is A Tramp".  I heard the teaser for the song and I honestly thought Stefani sounded great. My initial feeling was maybe Stefani should focus her talent on jazz because she's able to pull it off and it suits her.  I really liked what I heard and Tony Bennett is Tony Bennett.  He's a legend going back to the days of old Hollywood when it still had class.

However, I have to go back to the Gaga/Madonna comparisons yet again because it was brought to my attention that Madonna and Anthony Kiedis of The Red Hot Chili Peppers performed the same song together at the 1000th Episode of the Arsenio Hall Show.

OK, OK, I know what all the little monsters are going to say "Lots of people cover older classic songs! Why is it wrong for Queen Gaga to do that too".  My answer?  It's not wrong.  Not at all.

But with all the constant Madonna comparisons that never go away and probably never will at this point, you would think that Stefani would've used her brains a little and choose any other Tony Bennett song to duet with.  I just don't get it.  If she wants to distance herself from the Madonna comparisons and doesn't want to be consistently accused of ripping off Madonna's career, then why is Stefani doing everything in her power to mimic so many aspects and work that Madonna has done?  It really is "single white female-ish".

Tony Bennett has a vast catalogue of material to choose from and what does Stefani do?  She picks the same song Madonna covered! She is not doing anything to help separate herself from Madonna and her lengthy career.  Stefani shoots yet another bullet into that copy cat foot of hers.

So Who Do I Like?

I've been accused several times of being full of hate and asked who the heck DO I like?  Well, there's plenty.  Let's start right here with Ellie Goulding.  Maybe you've heard of her, maybe you haven't.  Now the time to start paying attention.  She's already done very well in the UK and Europe and finally there's a strong buzz about her here in North America.  She's already toured the U.S.A. and Canada and played at Coachella.   Ellie Goulding is a favorite of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate and was asked to play at their wedding.

Ellie is amazingly talented.  She is classy, respectable, authentic, doesn't need gimmicks or theatrics and is adorable. Ellie doesn't need to run around with her ass and titties hanging out.  She just gets up there and plays. Her and her band.   Ellie's many talents include vocals, guitar, drums, piano, clarinet, tambourine and song writing.

Check out her song "Starry Eyed" above.  I have her entire CD on my MP3 player and every single song is excellent.  Check out "Under The Sheets" as well.
