The Grammy's are set to air on February 12th, 2012 and the artist's song nominations have been submitted. Adele's submitted her monster hit Rollin' In The Deep and Someone Like You. Stefani's submitted her two floptastic songs Flopas Judas and Flop and I You and I. Some might scratch their heads and wonder why she chose to leave out her unfortunate hit of a song Born This Way and the other sort of hit Edge of Glory.
The answer is simple. Stefani is scared shitless of Adele. The whole planet knows that Adele is going to clean house and Stefani, being the megalomaniac that she is clearly would not be able to handle Adele cutting her to pieces at the Grammy awards. In order to save face, Stefani submits her two dead on arrival singles knowing that they don't stand a chance even on the best of days against Adele. That's an easier pill to swallow because the songs stink of crap. What's even more interesting is instead of believing in herself, just like she preaches to the masses of monsters, and submitting her two hits and taking that chance, she instead puts her head down, tail between her legs and whimpers off like an ego stung child. So much for being brave and fearless. She's basically saying that even her recent hits aren't that great and I'm inclined to agree.
Stefani knows that even if she submitted Born This Way and Edge of Glory to go up against Adele, she's gonna lose and lose big. To have her two hit songs lose to Adele is going to trigger a tsunami of suicidal tendencies. OK, I'm being sarcastic there but it's not gonna be good for her. Especially since one of her hits is a clone of Express Yourself, something that will follow her for the rest of her life, and the music world and her peers did not smile fondly upon that. Except for Elton John but that's probably because Gaga lets him suck her dick.
Not even her antics and desperate plays at being avant garde are enough to save her this time. Adele's 21 has already broken Gaga’s digital album sales record for The Fame. Stefani should just skip the Grammy Awards next year, stay home, crush some Oxycontin, snort it and sleep the loss off. It will be all better in the morning.
